Terms

Last updated 22 April 2026

These terms apply to the taadoo website and the taadoo iPhone app. By using either, you're agreeing to them.

Who we are

taadoo is an independent app built in the UK. When these terms say "we" or "us", that's what we mean. When they say "you", that's you — the person using the site or the app.

What you're getting

The website is an information and newsletter sign-up page. The iPhone app is a tool for capturing tasks, notes, and small pieces of your day, stored on your own device. We hope it's useful. We don't promise it will be perfect, always available, or free of bugs.

Your content is yours

Anything you type into the taadoo app — tasks, notes, reminders — belongs to you. The app stores it locally on your iPhone; we don't have a copy, can't see it, and can't recover it for you.

  • Back up your iPhone if what you've captured matters. iCloud device backups cover taadoo's data the same way they cover other apps.
  • If you delete the app, your taadoo data goes with it.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • Try to break, reverse-engineer, or exploit the site or app in ways that harm other users or the service.
  • Use the newsletter sign-up to submit someone else's email address without their permission.
  • Use taadoo for anything unlawful.

Changes to the service

taadoo is evolving. Features may be added, altered, or retired. We'll try to signal meaningful changes in the app or over email, but we can't promise anything will stay the same forever.

No warranty

The site and app are provided "as is". We do our best to make them work well, but we can't guarantee they'll be fault-free or fit every purpose. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability we can't legally limit — for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for lost data, lost profits, or indirect losses that come from using taadoo.

Privacy

Our privacy page explains what's collected and what isn't.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that can't be worked out informally will be decided in the courts of England and Wales.
